Audrey Dress -free crochet pattern-

Oh my!  This is a lovely crochet dress, yet so easy to make- the perfect example of using simplicity to create something beautiful. If you know how to make a granny square, which is easy enough on its own, then you can make this dress!  Basically you make 2 granny squares the same size, join them, and continue on with the length. This dress is super easy to make custom, and could also be a great stash buster! This is a Ravelry download. Re-Tee Kids Dress -free crochet pattern-

I love this idea, and well, I'd make these for myself!  The plan is to use adult sized t-shirts with crochet edging to create cute kids' dresses, but I think an oversized shirt for the adult version would work just fine as well!  I really like this tutorial, and these girls look like they love their new dresses! I stole the photo from a Ravelry user, because the main photo in the pattern is not very good... that being said, this pattern is super cute and easy to work up!  You can also check it out on Ravelry and see other peole's projects for inspiration, they've used several different colors and themes in creating this beauty!  I recently made one myself for a soon to be baby girl, and in my excitement, forgot to take photos of it.  But trust me, you will enjoy making this, it only took me a a couple hours from start to finish.  This cutie makes a great spring gift. Tommy "Crochet" Hilfiger -Spring 2016 Ready-to-Wear

Image
I've been spending the past few days researching for an upcoming article, and came across the Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2016, Ready to Wear fashion runway show.  So.... sidetracked now from my original article, I have to stop and share this show with you! While I'm not the biggest fan of Tommy Hilfiger's work, this show stopped me dead in my tracks, because I loved it, and of course, you've guessed it: crochet is involved!  And when I say "involved", I mean it takes over a large portion of the show! The amount of crochet work that went into the pieces shown on the runway is astounding!  I can't help but think, "Who made this?!" and "How long did it take?!"  Maybe I don't want to know the answer.... but the great part is, YOU CAN MAKE THESE YOURSELF, or most of them anyway. I would say if you have a lot of experience and have the concept of making your own patterns, some of these should be no problem to free-style.  (though they may...
