Christmas Tree Ornament -free crochet pattern-

Is this pretty Christmas tree ornament not beautiful? I think it is and I have a great plan for it. I'm going to glue these onto cardstock and make my own Christmas cards, I'm so excited about this! However these are so adorable as they are intended, tree ornaments. This pattern has written instructions and a chart. Get the free pattern here!

I am currently writing a book, and it includes the Tree of Life. So this is a tiny part of the big picture.  I found it so fun to make (and easy!) that I want to share it with you today.  There are several things you could do with this, for example: you can make it the center of a mandala, turn it into a square and work it into any garment, or even crochet it over a hoop to make earrings etc. There's no limits to which yarn and hook you can use, it will just make it larger or smaller. I guess I've been so busy that I am just now getting into the holiday spirit.  Here's a great pattern to start December off in true Christmas cheer!  It is a simple pattern, but also a very fun pattern!  I love projects that use up your small yarn leftovers and this one does just that.  Hang these on your tree, decorate your home, or give them away as gifts. I seriously want to make many of these!  This is such an easy project, especially for the beginner crocheter.  They are simple, but the end result looks amazing!  It is basically just a long chain of crochet wrapped around a cone.  A great photo tutorial is included.
