365 Crochet

Is it just me, or do you think ponchos are taking the "in" spot in crochet apparel this season?  Everywhere I look lately, I see ponchos!  Especially the sort of Bohemian style poncho... ah, maybe that's what it is!  This particular poncho is very "boho", with it's rustic plaid design and it's fringes. Ponchos are a great accessory for spring, where it's warming up, but not warm enough yet to go without cover; and stylish. That's what it's all about! This is a pretty neat crochet idea for the home. If you've ever made casseroles (or any dish really) to take to a pot luck, party, or event, then you know what a pain it can be to carry; especially if it's hot, or you have a load of other things to carry at the same time. With the crochet casserole carrier you no longer have to worry about a spill!  This is a cute and clever idea, and completely reusable. So this seems to be the big new trend this coming season, the "Super Scarf". It's extra long, very wide, and wraps around your entire body. Basically, it's exactly what it sounds like: a big giant scarf.  I'm not sure where this new trend originated from, however, I am suddenly seeing it everywhere!  I like the way that it looks, cozy and sophisticated along with the tartan design, in this particular pattern, but I must admit, that I would probably not ever wear it myself. The Christmas holidays are such a busy time for me, with having an excited 4 year old, keeping my house in order, preparing and planning gifts, meals, trips, and above most, crocheting custom orders and supplying a local boutique with my wears.  It was so much, that I was cramming items in right up until Christmas eve!  And I was exhausted!  And I thought that I couldn't wait to get a break from crocheting for once!  And here I am, three days later, feeling the urge to crochet....
