Knee High Socks -free crochet pattern-

Image
There's a photo circulating on Pinterest like a wild fire of busy knit knee high socks with flower embellishments.  I had been sent that photo numerous times with people wanting me to make them. However, the pattern is knit, and I really didn't have the time to attack and design a crochet version.  But, it seems I wasn't the only one!  This designer has done it!  And I think she did a pretty amazing job as well, look at that detail and texture. So if you've been seeing that sock photo circulating your social media feeds, here's the crochet replacement! Barre Basics Legwarmers -free crochet pattern-

I really like legwarmers, and they are one of those things that are pretty simple to make.  These particular crochet legwarmers add style by using post stitches to create texture, and vertical ribbing to finish them off.  Bulky weight yarn and a latge hook is also used, so that they work up faster. I can't wait to try these! Designed By: Epiphany Pilates Skill Level: Intermediate Materials:  Bulky or Heavy Worsted Weight Yarn, 300 yards Crochet Hook, 6mm (Size J) Yarn needle Scissors Get the Free Pattern!

A great way to keep you legs warm during the cold winter months are legwarmers of course.  Wear them casually around the house or dress them up with a nice pair of shoes and leggings.  you can even wear them as boot cuffs if they fit under your boots, or wear them over top of your boots!  These beauties feature a spiked stitch to add interest to this nice design.   This is a Ravelry download. Legwarmer Slippers -free crochet pattern-

Image
These crochet legwarmer boot style slippers are a result of a custom order that I recently made for a customer.  I was sent a random photo of some slippers that were posted on a local buy/sell web site, so "someone" has made these before.  But from which pattern?  Did they invent them?  What materials did they use?  I do not know!  A google image search brought me this one and only photo which has since been removed.  ( I assume they sold them!)  So... began the thought process.  The slipper bottoms look a lot like the bottoms of of my short crocodile boots , so I rolled with that.  The tops, are really easy, just basically rows of dc stitches.  The tops are attached to the bottoms as you work from top to bottom, with no sewing required! But as simple as they are, they are quite cute and comfy!  Enjoy! Designed By: Farrah Hodgson Skill Level: Easy Materials: Craftsmart Value (from Micheals, similar to Red Heart Su...

High Top - Legwarmer Barefoot Sandals -free crochet pattern-

Image
Feet are on my mind after recently designing two new sock patterns, but I'm tired of winter, and I feel like beaches, flip flops, and barefoot sandals!  I actually designed this legwarmer style barefoot sandal/sock pattern last summer, which was created with "yoga socks" in mind, for a friend. (who was actually using them for yoga!)  So, recently, I had a few balls of sock yarn lying around, and took that opportunity to actually write out my pattern to share.  Enjoy! These barefoot socks work from the foot and up to the top of the leg.  If you can make a granny square, you can make these!  The double crochet stitches turn into longer stitches (htr, tr, hdtr, and dtr) as you work up the leg to give it more stretch.  You can also quit at any time as you're working up the leg, if you want them shorter, just stop after any round and skip to the very last finishing round. These look great pulled all of the way up to your knee, or slouched down as well! ...
