365 Crochet

I have loved the Venetian Lace square for a very long time. There's SO much you can do with it. I will get into those other projects another day, but today I am going to show you my hanging plant holders! It's a bit inspired by macrame, though I love crochet much more. This pattern can easily be adjusted to fit various different plant pots by adjusting your yarn (or thread) and hook. You are going to have to play with setting your gauge to get a specific size, but to be honest, I just winged it and both sizes that I made worked out perfect! The first hanging plant holder I made, I used a size 3.5mm crochet hook and worsted weight size 4 cotton crafting yarn. Each square measures approximately 6 inches. For the second plant holder, I used a size 2.00mm crochet hook and size 10 crochet thread. Each square measures about 4 inches. Just remember that these will stretch! I haven't been on Ravelry for a while, so today I decided to check it out, and I was definitely not disappointed! This is another beautiful crochet creation from Drops Design. A few things about this crochet bag caught my attention!  The designs in the squares are pretty cool for one, I love Nordic patterns.  The squares themselves are easy to assemble with a little bit of sewing knowledge.  And the colors are very well used in the design, also the colors can be interchanged to whatever you want.  This looks like a great way to use up scrap yarns!  The bag itself has a cozy appeal with a lot of eye interest!   This is a Ravelry download. This beauty of a skirt is called "Mauve" over at Ravelry, and the English version is not free, however... if you translate this Swedish pattern via Google Translate , you come up with something that you can understand and complete!  Some of the words do not translate well, but if you think about what you're doing, it should easily make sense!  And I think it's worth it, because this skirt is so nice!
