I love the color changes taking place in this beautiful crochet infinity scarf!  What's great about this design, is that it actually doesn't require several different color changes and yarn; but it's done by using one yarn with a gradient color change on it's own. While you don't need to use the exact yarn as shown in the pattern, it is fairly easy to find an equivalent type of this yarn at any yarn store.  Using simple crochet techniques, you can create your own scarf in no time. All Wrapped Up Infinity Scarf -free crochet pattern-

Image
Now here's a clever idea!  Use two colors of yarn and knot them to create a beautiful infinity scarf. The scarf itself is a fairly easy pattern, and the designer includes a video tutorial on how to knot the scarf. Chunky yarn is used for this design, but it would be very easy to change it up with a different yarn weight as well. And the color... I have to mention the colors, I love these colors!  Mixing a bright with a dark really shows off the knot. Big Tartan Super Scarf -free crochet pattern-

Image
So this seems to be the big new trend this coming season, the "Super Scarf". It's extra long, very wide, and wraps around your entire body. Basically, it's exactly what it sounds like: a big giant scarf.  I'm not sure where this new trend originated from, however, I am suddenly seeing it everywhere!  I like the way that it looks, cozy and sophisticated along with the tartan design, in this particular pattern, but I must admit, that I would probably not ever wear it myself. Pineapple Racer Back Scarf Vest -free crochet pattern-

Image
Turn your scarf into a vest!  This is a fun project, using the crochet pineapple design to add a racer back and straps to a scarf.  I came across this idea as I was going through my closet trying to decrease my wardrobe.  I have quite a few scarves that I never wear, and was about to put them into my "donate" pile, when the idea hit me.  So I played around with the design for a day, and this is how it turned out!  I am quite happy with it and can't wait to make more. The best scarves to use are ones that drape and are flimsy.  I crocheted directly through the material of this scarf, I am not sure what it is made of, but it was very easy to poke my crochet hook through it.  And I really hate sewing, so that was a bonus!  However, if you find that you cannot crochet through your type of scarf, you can simply sew the racer back on afterward, no big deal.  Another nice thing about this vest is that it's easy to customize to your size...
