Happy Valentine's Day!  If you're looking for a quick gift, this crochet heart pendant is perfect!  This project works up very quickly, and requires a small amount of yarn. I've been asked about these crochet mandala jackets and vests numerous times these passed few weeks, and I came across this beauty via Pinterest this morning. In theory, the pattern is easy to make, all that is required for a successful end project is time, patience, and determination... and yarn, a lot of yarn! Casserole Carrier -free crochet pattern-

Image
This is a pretty neat crochet idea for the home. If you've ever made casseroles (or any dish really) to take to a pot luck, party, or event, then you know what a pain it can be to carry; especially if it's hot, or you have a load of other things to carry at the same time. With the crochet casserole carrier you no longer have to worry about a spill!  This is a cute and clever idea, and completely reusable. Designed By: Yarnspirations Skill Level: Easy Materials : Lily Sugar’n Cream (Ombres: 2 oz/56.7 g; 95 yds /86 m) Batik Ombre (02446) 4 balls or 300 yds [274.5 m]  Size U.S H/8 (5 mm) crochet hook  4 stitch markers.  Three 1½" [4 cm] metal rings. Easy Basic Boho Hood -free crochet pattern-

Image
You can do so many things with a basic crochet hood!  You can give it braids, buttons, beads, add ears, horns, eyes, pom poms, and so much more. I've been making a few hoods lately, and this is the pattern for its basic structure. I added big wooden beads onto the braids of mine to give it bit of a Bohemian vibe. I really love my basic hood pattern because it is not flat at the back, however instead, it sort of butterflies out and around the shoulders, so that there is no bulkiness behind the neck. This pattern is super easy!  It consists of half double crochet, chains, and a bit of reverse single crochet for the border.  Designed By: Farrah Hodgson  Skill Level: Easy Materials:   1 ball Red Heart Super Saver, (4) Medium Worsted Weight, Color: Aran Crochet Hook size 5.5mm (I) Large wooden beads, however many you wish, I used 14. Tutti Frutti Slippers -free crochet pattern-

Fresh into a new year, why not try a new crochet technique?!  If you haven't tried the Tunisian entrelac stitch before, here's a great project to get started. The designer has included a video to help you out, which I know helps me greatly when trying something different, that sometimes words alone can be difficult to understand. And the result? A pair of fun crochet slippers! Designed By: Nadia Fuad Skill Level: Intermediate Materials: Red Heart Yarns in Super Saver Colors: Aran, Dark Teal, Flamingo, Hot Coral, and Dark Orchid J- 6.00 mm Crochet Hook Yarn Needle Scissors Get the Free Pattern!

Windowpane Scarf -free crochet pattern-

Image
I love the color changes taking place in this beautiful crochet infinity scarf!  What's great about this design, is that it actually doesn't require several different color changes and yarn; but it's done by using one yarn with a gradient color change on it's own. While you don't need to use the exact yarn as shown in the pattern, it is fairly easy to find an equivalent type of this yarn at any yarn store.  Using simple crochet techniques, you can create your own scarf in no time. This is a Ravelry download.
