I am happy to find this new and refreshing crochet mitten pattern today!  Featuring the popcorn stitch, these mittens have a cozy and unique feel. R2D2 Fingerless Gloves -free crochet pattern-

Image
This cute R2D2 Star Wars inspired crochet fingerless gloves pattern reminds me of when I was young! My mother would knit and crochet the most awesome mittens and gloves for myself and my cousins, which included Ghost Busters, and The Teeange Mutant Niinja Turtles for example, they were pretty cool!  These R2D2 gloves bring a bit of nostalgia to those of us who were into the original Star Wars, but these gloves also are "in" today, due to the resurgence of the new movies.  Designed By: Brooke Rabideau Skill Level: Easy Materials:  Size H hook I love this yarn in grey, blue, red, and black Crochet needle for sewing in ends Get the Free Pattern!

Shelby Mitts and Gloves -free crochet pattern-

A pattern that includes instructions for mittens or fingerless gloves!  I really love the cuff on these mittens because of the lacy elegant look and the length.  They look cozy, and mittens of course are warm, but the fingerless variation is great for those times when you need free fingers, like pushing buttons on a cell phone, digging into your wallet, and buckling kids into car seats (to name a few). This pattern also includes child to adult sizing! The texting glove takes on a new approach with the creation of SensaThread. This thread can be woven right into your other yarn while crocheting the fingertips, or you can add it on after.  This is great news for all of those cell phone addicts.  Besides the fingertips, I just simply love the look of these gloves, made with a super fine weight yarn in fun colors, where I could skip the SensaThread and be quite happy with it! Fast Blanket Mittens -free crochet pattern-

Image
Do you need mittens, and need them NOW?!  Well, if you have about an hour of time, a ball of super bulky yarn and a big hook, you can have new mittens today!  These mittens work up super quickly, and they are very cozy and warm!  I've been using a lot of this type of blanket yarn lately, for accent pillows for my home and I love working with it.  There's a certain gratification that comes with finishing a project quickly and admiring your work.  I fell in love with this yarn so much for its softness and ease, that I wanted mittens of the same texture.  This is an incredibly easy pattern, only requires one ball of yarn (which will actually make more than one pair of mittens), there are only 21 rounds, and requires basic crochet knowledge. These mittens also make great gifts! (Christmas is around the corner) , and these are a wonderful item to make for charity, as they work up so fast, that you could make several pairs in a day.  To sum it up, t...
