365 Crochet

I love crochet home decor and crochet pineapple designs, so when I found this pattern, I became very excited!  This unique crochet clock uses a 12 point pineapple which is perfect for as the background.  The doily is then attached and varnished to the same shape of wooden background and finished off my adding the cock mechanism to the center.  You can find most of these materials at any craft store, however, I think that this would also make a great "re-finish" product.  Do you have an old boring clock laying around?  Why not paint it, and attach this pretty doily? Lilies represent a peaceful state of innocence returned to to the soul of the deceased. I dedicate this beautiful pattern to my dad, who I lost 5 years ago today. This mini doily is beautiful and elegant!  While I'm not a big fan of doilies (because some people out there think that it's all that crochet is), I am intrigued by this one.  The color work in this one caught my eye, along with the picot edging.
