Spiral Socks -free crochet pattern-

Image
These cute crochet socks are adorable!  The spiral in the heel gives these socks a unique twist. This design is quite different than any other sock pattern that I have seen, as you begin at the heel!  Then you work the leg, and finish off with the foot and toe.  This pattern looks very interesting, I can't wait to give it a go. This is a Ravelry download. Designed By : Ooh I love It! Skill Level : Intermediate Materials:  3.5 crochet hook  2 sceins of light worsted yarn (3 or 100g/310m) 4 stitch markers scissors  a needle to weave in the ends Size: Custom Get the Free Pattern!

Plaid Slouch Hat -free crochet pattern-

Ah, I love this hat!  I love when I think I've seen everything, and then something like this comes along and proves me wrong. Plaid has been around forever (thanks to the Scots!), it comes and goes in fashion, yet it remains a timeless piece to any wardrobe. This hat pattern implements plaid, by using tapestry crochet, carrying the unused colors behind the worked colors. It's a great beginner tapestry pattern because the blocks of color are even. I can't wait to make one! Designed By: Whistle & Ivy Skill Level: Intermediate (due to tapesty) Materials:  Medium Weight Yarn (Knit Picks Brava in Red, Wine and Black, plus Dove Heather for pom-pom) I Hook Darning Needle Get the Free Pattern!

Amelia Poncho -free crochet pattern-

I've been seeing a knitted version of this all over social media lately, which is a pattern by Heidi May, in her shop, The Velvet Acorn . (Her patterns make me want to learn to knit, they are beautiful!) Today, I found this beauty of a crochet version, so get out your hooks and get to it!  It has it's differences from the knit poncho, for example the ribbing all along the edges, but the basic concept is about the same.  This designer also has a child's version of the pattern. Designed By: Left in Knots Skill Level: Easy Materials:  Wool-Ease Tonal Yarn - 9 skeins (I used color Slate Blue-and there are TONS of beautiful colors to choose from) L/8.0mm crochet hook\ 8- 1 5/8" buttons Yarn needle Scissors Get the Free Pattern!

Herringbone Buttoned Cowl -free crochet pattern-

Fall is very near, even though it's still very warm where I am, it is heavily on my mind, especially with school supply shopping for my child... for the very first time! My baby is not a baby anymore, hello kindergarten. But not to get off track, with seeing fall clothing, decor and more as I'm shopping, it is more evident that fall is close. With the cooler temperatures comes warmer clothing and accessories, and what is more attractive than a great fall cowl?!  This lovely pattern features attractive lines, ribbing, and buttons. Cowls also look amazing paired up with your favorite fall jacket or sweater, a must have this season! Designed By: Little Monkeys Crochet Skill Level: Easy Materials : Crochet Hook: G (4.25mm)\ About 390-400 yards of Vanna's Style DK Yarn by Lion Brand (that's less than 2 skeins). Bettie Sweater -free crochet pattern-

I found this sweater pattern on Ravelry today, and very happy that I did!  I love the ribbed effect in the body which is matched in the cuffs.
