Tree of Life -free crochet pattern-

Image
I am currently writing a book, and it includes the Tree of Life. So this is a tiny part of the big picture.  I found it so fun to make (and easy!) that I want to share it with you today.  There are several things you could do with this, for example: you can make it the center of a mandala, turn it into a square and work it into any garment, or even crochet it over a hoop to make earrings etc. There's no limits to which yarn and hook you can use, it will just make it larger or smaller. I am very strict on the copyright for this pattern as it's part of a book, please read the copyright :)

I love crochet home decor, and this pretty crochet cushion or pillow cover is perfect!  The diagonal design and the texture make htis really stand out. I also love the back of this design, it features a slip cover style opening so that you can easily remove the inner cushion which makes the cover very easy to wash!

Broadway Hat -free crochet pattern-

Simplicity at its finest! This is the perfect example of basic crochet stitches making a big impact. This beautiful crochet brimmed hat uses single crochet stitches to give it a nice tight weave; the colors do the rest!  I like this color combination a lot. (Note: I had someone ask me about the Drops patterns being free or not, because of the price listed at the top right of the page... do not fret! This is the price of materials used, just scroll down the page, and you will find the free pattern)

Re-Tee Kids Dress -free crochet pattern-

Image
I love this idea, and well, I'd make these for myself!  The plan is to use adult sized t-shirts with crochet edging to create cute kids' dresses, but I think an oversized shirt for the adult version would work just fine as well!  I really like this tutorial, and these girls look like they love their new dresses!

Maya Purse -free crochet pattern-

Image
This crochet purse caught my eye right away because it is absolutely stunning!  I love the use of color, and especially love how this bag is a stash buster. Imagine the color possibilities!  I like using random stash colors because the end result is sort of a surprise. While parts of the pattern are written out, you will have to use your head a bit in following the chart, but it's pretty easy to follow the color changes. This clever pattern is available in English and French. This is a Ravelry download.

Fireworks Skirt -free crochet pattern-

This cute skirt is versatile and fun!  The designer has included written instructions along with instructions on how to set the colors so that the dye in the cotton doesn't run.  You could use any color combination that you wish, or even go all one color; this crochet skirt would still look great!  You can also easily adjust the size and length, I love this project!
