Chevron Knit Look Hat -Free Crochet Pattern-

Image
Ah, 'tis the season to start thinking about cooler temperatures!  With a slight chill in the air, comes the wonderful world of crochet hats. This cool hat caught my eye due to it's colors and style. The classic knit work sock colors give this hat a traditional vibe, and the chevron stripe gives this hat a new twist on the accent colored stripe.  And not to forget that this hat looks knitted, but is definitely crochet instead! If you don't know how, or have never heard of the wst (waistcoat) stitch, now is the time to try something new. There are several tutorials out there to show you how, and it's easy! This is a Ravelry download. Chevron Belt -free crochet pattern-

Image
I need a new belt, maybe I will make this one!  I have a lot of crochet thread scraps that I could use to give it a cool color combination!  The designer used two strands of crochet thread to achieve the firmness of this belt, but you could most likely use any yarn.  I do like the idea of the thread though, it has a different feel.  I can't wait to get some down time to try this out!
