365 Crochet

Yes, I know, I know.... I haven't been posting here much as of the past year! Honestly, I just haven't had the time, or the time to even crochet (gasp!) I am working full time as an assistant market manager for a well known paint company, and.... for myself- always the entrepreneur- as owner, maker, mixer, marketer, manager, shipper, et etc etc for my nail polish company, Atlantic Elixir . I am going to shamelessly plug my own business here... these photos for the Insta Witch Hat were taken for my nail polish biz (that's why you see so many hands!) by the same name, Insta Witch Nail Polish .   Getting back to crochet now, I really did enjoy making this hat! Ah, 'tis the season to start thinking about cooler temperatures!  With a slight chill in the air, comes the wonderful world of crochet hats. This cool hat caught my eye due to it's colors and style. The classic knit work sock colors give this hat a traditional vibe, and the chevron stripe gives this hat a new twist on the accent colored stripe.  And not to forget that this hat looks knitted, but is definitely crochet instead! Well... this adorable crochet pillow caught my attention right away!  My daughter is obsessed with unicorns and I'm sure that this is something that she will want me to make for her, so I can't show her yet because she will never leave me alone until I make it!  I love how this pattern works from corner to corner and the color changes are easy enough. How cool is this?!  I know that it's hard to get into crochet during the summer, not just with the idea of making slippers and hats, because there's plenty of cute bag designs, home decor, etc that you could make, but I know for me it's lack of time!  My summers are short here up north so I'm outside most of the summer. But... I did make a dreamcatcher this summer and I wish I had seen this first!  Now I won't go remove all of my real feathers from it, but now I want to make another one because these clever crochet feathers are awesome!  They are also easy to make and the color combinations are endless.
